A working farm, owned and run by community
Namabunda Farm is where Enterprise on Country becomes something you can walk through: a native foods forest, a plant nursery, coffee grown on Country, and the ground the Cultural Centre will stand on.
Income earned on our own land
The farm is the heart of Enterprise on Country. It earns income through our own operations on our own land, and that income is reinvested in community rather than chased through grant rounds. As the operations grow, so does the workforce that runs them.

Native plants, grown here
The nursery propagates native species for planting back into Country and for sale to the public. It is also where the seed work under On Country Management ends up in the ground.
What we grow
Native macas, lomandra, native plums, sandpaper fig and native raspberry species, among others. Stock changes with the season.

Seed and Country
Cultural seed banking sits under On Country Management, with protocols documented alongside Elders. The nursery is where that work is propagated.
A food cultural heritage project
Created through Namabunda Farm, Tastes of Bundjalung shares recollections from Bundjalung Elders and community members of their traditional foods, and the importance of those species for maintaining cultural connection and relationship with Country. The book aims to be only the beginning of a conversation.
